SVA / SVH / SVHT flue gas and air damper

SVA, SVH and SVHT are wafer-type butterfly dampers clamped between two flanges; together with an actuator, they act as the final control element for the flow of flue gas and intake air in combustion plants. The three types differ in housing material and temperature limit: the aluminium SVA (668M2200) is rated for a medium temperature of -20…+100 °C and the cast iron SVH (668M2205) for -20…+450 °C, while the stainless steel SVHT (668M2210) is ordered as a -20…+100 °C, -20…+450 °C or -20…+650 °C version. The 450 °C versions have a 100 mm temperature barrier, the 650 °C version a 200 mm one. In every type, the shaft and disc are made of stainless steel.

Nominal sizes are DN40, DN50, DN65, DN80, DN100, DN125, DN150 and DN200. Above DN200, type 662R22V takes the place of SVA and SVH, while larger SVHT sizes are available on request. The aluminium and stainless steel dampers can be ordered reduced by up to two nominal sizes and with an optional tight-closing disc; the cast iron SVH is supplied without reduction and with the standard disc only. The standard disc leaks approx. 1 % of the Kvs value. The flow characteristic is non-linear, and the operating pressure is limited to 500 mbar.

The 11.1 × 11.1 × 11.5 mm square shaft end fits straight into the internal square socket (IVK11) of the LAMTEC 668M2006, 668M2020 and 668M2040 actuators; the bracket is integrated into the damper, and fixing material as well as mounting sleeves for PN10…PN40 flanges are supplied. As the damper has no position indicator, LAMTEC recommends an actuator that has one; a manual version with a continuously adjustable locking lever can also be ordered. The CE declaration of conformity refers to the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU; these dampers have no DVGW approval.
